Guru Systems has appointed Gilbert Lennox-King as its new Head of Business Development.

Lennox-King previously held the same position at Demand Logic, a multi award-winning building analytics software company.

His appointment is the third major arrival for London-based Guru Systems in recent months and follows the appointments of Nic Mason at Chief Operating Officer, and Conrad Wood as Chief Technical Officer.

Before Demand Logic, Lennox-King was co-founder and Head of Business Development at Energenz in Hong Kong, one of Asia’s leading energy efficiency consulting services companies.

He successfully built Energenz to a team of 19 people and sold the company to NV5 Global, a leading multinational engineering company.

Gilbert Lennox-King said: “The benefits of Guru Systems’ smart technology and the impact that the business has had on the heat network sector are clear to see – so it’s no wonder the company has experienced rapid client growth in recent years.

“My top priorities will be to build relationships with key partners and customers and to continue to drive growth at the business.”

Casey Cole, Managing Director of Guru Systems, said: “We are delighted to welcome Gilbert to the team. His experience will be invaluable in bringing the benefits of our technology to even more heat network operators and developers.”

Guru Systems provides smart solutions for heat networks, and uses real-time data to improve network performance. The company’s technology helps to eliminate two of the biggest risks faced by heat network operators: customer debt and hidden inefficiency.

Its systems are installed on more than 100 decentralised energy networks across the UK.
