Guru Systems has been awarded an international stamp of quality for its smart metering systems.
The London-based company, which has seen its technology installed in around 3,000 properties across 35 district heat networks, has secured the ISO9001:2008 certification for the quality of the design and supply of smart metering and control systems for distributed energy schemes.
The internationally recognised standard underlines the firm’s commitment to ensuring its products and services consistently match or exceed its customers’ expectations.
Casey Cole, Managing Director of Guru Systems, said: “Achieving this standard demonstrates that we are continually improving our products and services.
“It is great to have our efforts acknowledged and this certification is testament to the hard work of all our employees who are continually developing our products and delivering excellent customer service to our clients.”
In order to achieve ISO9001:2008, organisations must demonstrate that they have a comprehensive quality management system in place, which meets a broad range of customer-focused criteria. A detailed inspection is carried out by an independent auditor.
The company was also awarded ISO14001:2004 International Environmental Management System following the audit in December 2014.
Casey added: “The ISO14001 certification reinforces our dedication to reducing waste, improving resource efficiency, and ensuring legal compliance by creating a series of processes that enables our environmental impact to be reviewed and improved upon.”
