London-based tech company, Guru Systems has opened a new office at Sustainable Workspaces Bankside following a period of continued growth.

Guru Systems, which provides smart technology and data analytics to optimise heat network performance and deliver low cost, low carbon, effective heat, has made the move following rapid expansion which has seen the team grow from ten to 21 over the last 12 months.

The team is set to more than double in size again over the next six months, having secured several new contracts during 2018, with its technology now installed in over 20,000 homes across the UK.

Casey Cole, Managing Director at Guru Systems, said: “2018 has been a really strong year for Guru Systems and our new office marks a significant milestone as we continue to grow and develop at speed.

“Heat networks are playing a crucial part in the UK’s transition to a low-cost, low carbon energy system. Through our technology, Guru Systems is making a real difference in driving up the performance and efficiency of heat networks and we are looking forward to doing even more in 2019 to enable them to fulfil their potential in delivering low cost, low carbon heat to millions of homes across the UK.”

Guru Systems’ Pinpoint technology uses big data analytics and state-of-the-art technology to transform the performance of heat networks.

It is unique in its ability to provide real-time performance data across an entire network, while its next generation Hub II devices communicate via a wireless mesh network.

The Hub II, which was unveiled by Guru Systems at the beginning of 2018, is the next generation in Guru Systems’ smart metering system for decentralised energy.

The building block for Guru Systems’ innovative offerings, including PAYG and monitoring services, the Hub II can help eliminate two of the biggest risks faced by operators: hidden inefficiency and customer debt.

It has been designed with extensive input from customers to make sure that it is easy to use and understand, with a full colour display showing everything residents need to know about their energy use.

Reliable and always on, the system provides a real-time view of consumption across entire networks, individual properties and the plantroom, allowing operators to remotely and automatically read all utility meters connected to Hubs.

Guru Systems smart meters are currently installed on more than 120 heat networks across the UK.  For more information visit
